In this case, the memory is embedded inside the couch, but isn’t that the case with nearly all of the other wacky flash drives on the market? I don’t know about you but I’d rather have my flash drive inside a sofa instead of a plastic UFO or Statue of Liberty or burger or credit card or T-Rex or bento box or kunai. No wait, I like the kunai flash drive.
The sofas were made by creative design studio Cabracega for last year’s International Festival for the Post-Digital Creation Culture (OFFF). As you can see (you’ll have to squint a little) the sofas have USB cables coming out of them. The 4 sofas store a total of 14GB of files which doesn’t seem like a lot, but I’m pretty sure no other storage device can accommodate up to 4 people. Top that Brando!
The USB Sofas are meant to encourage people to share porn content, but depending on who you’re hanging out with it might also help spread malware instead.
