The first generation iPod Nanos goes kaboom. Owner reports that his nano was plugged into his notebook, after 10 minutes charging, it starts emit a sizzling sound and in a tiny while it exploded open, spewing sparks and smoke. The issue has been reported to Apple’s customer service but still waiting for the official response and plan of action.
Other users also reported the similar cases with first generation nano. That will be perilous if it caught fire in the middle of the night. One more shot after the break.
